Encuentro International: Migración y Niñez Migrante
A little bit later in the month of May, colleagues from the UA's Mexican American Studies and Research Center ( especialmente nuestras buenas amigas las profesoras Raquel Rubio-Goldsmith y Ana O'Leary ) and the Colegio de Sonora collaborate on the Encuentro International: Migración y Niñez Migrante. The encuentro's theme will be "Actores de la Globalización."The Encuentro will take place May 24-25, 2007, at the Centro de las Artes de la Universidad de Sonora, Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. The event will include four "mesas de trabajo:"
- Niñez Migrante
- Mujeres Migrantes
- Incorporación de estados emergentes; diversificación de los flujos migratorios al interior del país y su impacto en la reconfiguración de ciudades fronterizas
- Derechos Humanos y Migración
